Peel Regional Police have charged a Brampton woman after she was allegedly caught using a fraudulent COVID-19 document at Toronto Pearson Airport.
On March 29, Police say the woman arrived from an international flight and was under inspection by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
A CBSA border services officer determined the woman’s entry documents allegedly included a negative COVID-19 document.
The document was found to be fraudulent following a review by Peel Public Health.
A 26-year-old woman from Brampton was arrested and charged for “utter forge document.” She will appear in court on May 17.
A few weeks ago, an Edmonton man was also charged for unlawfully and knowingly using a fraudulent document.
Anyone with added information is asked to contact investigators.
